Pinwheel for Preventation
Every year during month of April, Northborough Junior Woman's Club (NJWC) club members plant over 450 pinwheels to commemorate National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Prevent Child Abuse America is the leading national organization that works solely to prevent the abuse and neglect of our nation's children.
This year one of Boy's Scout Troop no.1 student Eshan Naik helped us get this project done single handedly with our volunteers. We thank Eshan for his service and dedication. You can see the Pinwheels at "American Legion" on West Main st, Northborough and at the corner of "Northborough Shopping Center" in Northborough, MA ”Pinwheels for Prevention” was launched by Prevent Child Abuse America to raise funds through the sale of pinwheels to educate people about the effects of child abuse and ways to prevent it. The hope is to engage all people in our society to act to prevent abuse and neglect from happening. Pinwheels represent hope, a call to action, and the bright and healthy future we want for all children. |

Recycling Resources
NJWC sponsors town-wide Styrofoam recycling twice a year. We are also dedicated to support recycling beyond the paper, cans and bottles that can be recycled as part of the town trash pickup. To that end, we are compiling a list of resources to assist the community in recycling other items. Click here to see a list of other recyclable items and where they can be reprocessed or re-utilized. We would appreciate everyone’s assistance in keeping this resource up to date.
If you have information on additional resources or something we have listed is no longer in operation,
please email us at [email protected].
Together we can make a difference! For the list of Recycling Resources please click here
